hello all long time smoker first time grower here :-) just thought id introduce myself as ill probably be asking for much advice during my first grow !! please be gentle with me im a virgin grower lol. been to amsterdam recently and got me some white widow seeds from sensi seeds. had a smoke of it over there and me likey !!! lol planted on thursday and to my surprise i had a shoot this morning :-o im a daddy !!!!! lol ill keep you all updated if youd like . im in england by the way and will be growing under lights ive been reading growers guides and hmmm confusing lol many differant approaches and variations but ill see how it goes, us smokers dont like to many dessisions lol so a couple of questions to get the ball rolling.
how tall should these be before going to the 12/12 growth cycle?
when you mention pinching or topping plants after 4th set of leaves does that actually mean removing the leaves and stem above these leaving just the set of leaves below and no stem?
im growing in compast bought from local garden center should i add anything to it ? mirical gro?

herbal do you have a grow shop anywhere near you?grow shops have the soil all pre-mixed and ready especially for growin the weed,i was in amsterdam in august and got maself some super skunk seeds from sensi seed bank,i grew mine for about a month n 4 days before switching them to 12/12 all plants were inbetween 16-18 inches at that point and well bushy,theve only been on 12/12 for about 4 nights and 3 of them have shown female already,what type of light will you be using??or will you be going to buy 1? i got a 250 watt metal halide system which you can swap the bulb for a hps when you start flowering.make sure you dont overwater your seedlings as it will kill them,wait till the soil at the top is dry before waterin,id recommend you find a grow shop in your area to get the correct fertilizer you need for your plants as you dont want em dying cause they aint gettin the right feed,plus the fact the WW seeds aint cheap!! topping the plant is basically cutting the top off the plant after a few weeks growing and it causes the stem to grow into 2 main shoots instead of just 1 although as a first time grower myself i didnt bother topping the plant,just the thought of taking a knife to it when it looks so good was enuff to stop me choppin it!! how many seeds are you growing from your pack?id recommend you grow about 6 as you know theres a 50/50 chance of them bein male or female and you throw the males away anyhows so youd end up with like 3 or 4 female plants that you will keep for some quality smoke.i also got given a free white widow seed from the people at the grow shop i goto and its growing well although took a week before showin any real progress in growth,ill send you the pic of my WW seedling

thank you for your reply wordrobe, there is a grow shop near me ill take a visit, ive grown plants before but never had any understanding so ended up with huge plnats with big leaves and could never understand why they didnt taste like the weed i bought !!! lmao i know i know i supose we all did it when young lol now i have a vauge understanding im hoping to grow enough for a smoke its more a challenge than anything lol. im growing under flouresants i know not the best but a cheap option so ill give them a go untill i get more experianced , i got 15 seeds but only planted 3 , fingers crossed big time im limited on space. ill be on with many silly questions i suspect !!! i cant stop looking at them seed head still on but they are growing weeeeeeee lol ill send pics at stages :-) day1 herbals log :- im a daddy !!! .

yeah the guys in the grow shop will be able to give you some tips and good advice on wot type of fertilizer to use n so on,theres so many fertilizers n shit out there its just confusin.when you says its more of a challange than anything,thats the way i was thinkin cause i honestly thought they wouldnt grow very well,but ive realised now that there easy enuff to grow with a bit of care and attention they will reward u with some quality buds to get yer eyes rollin like dugs baws lol
