not really my mate aged 14 got arrested and put in a cell for a day just for possesion of a ten
And you dont know why? It's cos he's still a baby... Children get arrested immediatly. ADULTS dont get arrested unless they got alot on them.
An adult can get away with about a 1/4
And yes, the police DO need a search warrant, but as far as i can remember from what happened with me they are allowed to come in, just not search... So if you got a kilo on your living room table and they see they can take it and arrest you instantly.
Yeah, the way it works in America is sorta the same. They can come in, and have a look, but they are not allowed to touch.. unless they see somthing that gives the "reasonable dought" (or somthing like that)
Not true. They aren't even allowed to enter without your permission, a warrant, or probable cause.Quote:

In fact, they can't even legally scan your home with infrared heat detectors without a warrant. (SCOTUS already ruled on that. Scanning someone's home for heat signatures, in and of itself, constitutes a search, and is thus illegal without a warrant.) I don't know anything about how the UK works though.
I watched the video from that other thread, and just found that same thing out. You learn somthing new every day :thumbsup:Quote:
