Male's don't seed, first off. Females do. Males cause the females to seed. You're probably too late on that. So, enjoy your crop of seeds for next year! Might get a bit of smoke too. They might be auto-flowering strains.

Hey indy_gal!
no reason to give up on them. Find and kill the males (sounds kinda biblical doesn't it?). You'll have some seeds, but no big. Switch to 12/12 now! What strain do you have? The auto-flowering is kinda odd. Anyway, main thing is that NO you don't have to give up on them!
Dboy (oh crap I'm high. Almost typed my real name hehe)
oh yeah one more thing.. You might have hermie plants rather than male. Be sure to look. Is this grow from seed or clone?

The reason the plants are shwoing signs of sex is because you've been vegging them for so long. You cant control the sex, some will be male, some will be female. Put them into 12/12 now and bud them...
And after some of the things you said up there i'd STRONGLY suggest you bother reading the FAQS and anything else you can...

indy_gal: 40 plants? You sound like my kinda girl! What did you decide to do? Culling out those males is your best move right now, especially with that tight space you have.
