Cloning from a flowering female....

Hey everybody!!! First time poster, looooonnggggg time grower. I used to be on overgrow, but now I have to migrate. Smile

Anyway, this is the first time this has happened to me. I took some clones from my plant before I put her into flowering. Well, becaues of my own stupidity (adding dip-n-grow to the water they were sitting in), the clones died. Now, the only chance I have is to take clones from this flowering female.

She's about 5 weeks into it and showing clusters of white hairs but no buds yet. Do you think I would be able to clone a couple of these things?

What are my chances here? lol

well if you took a clone of a flowering plant, your clone will still be in "flower mode"...

you would have to put your plant back into 18/6 for 2 weeks to bring it back to vegetative state and then take your clones.

or u can just root them under 12/12 and place them under 12/12 when rooted and keep flowering. I did that before with great success. The beauty is to save time and have less leaves in buds

you can still take your cuttings in flower if you want but as was said it will take about 2 weeks to root and revert back to veg state so if you dont mind the wait for them to root then carry on it will be ok i have done this many time i have even taken little buds from the bottom of the plant and cloned them . or you could even leave some little buds on the plant after harvest and reveg the whole plant for cuttings .this is what i have just done after having the same situatoin that you are in but idf you want to take the cuttings take them.be safe the postman.

Definately do-able.
I just did one that was 2 weeks in.
But you can pretty much do it at anytime, it just takes longer.
And once it roots it has to re veg.
So it takes a little longer even after it roots.
But no biggy if the strain is worth it. Right.

I have had success just setting my cuttings in water and letting them go. Takes about 1.5 weeks. (I've tried ALOT of methods without success and this is my best.) The problem though, is that by the time they are poking out roots, most of the cutting has suffered nutrient loss and is turning yellow. How should I combat that? Or do I even need to?

Hi, Iam in the same situation. My plant is exactly 2 weeks into flowering and it finally showed today (female) and I immediately took a cutting. The thing is because of my limited space, I have to grow in the same area as my female. So my clone is under 12/12, Hopefully everything will turn out nice.

I had 2 chronic clones from a flowering female and they jus re-veg'd and are flowering themselves now.

the cutting has to die, basically in order to root, actually it feeds off itself. that is why it is yellow. The new growth is the key! peace
