skeptical switch...

alright, for anyone who doesn't know my current situation, my weed friend is gona be on vac. still for like another week and a half, so I knew I'd be dry. But I've had a "craving" to smoke so I decided I'd buy an ounce of fresh salvia leaves from another friend (who happens to not be on vac.). I'm thinking it will be really chill to smoke a gram or two every other day until I get weed again and will help my craving. I'm buying tomorrow, but before I smoke it (1st time) I wana know if you guys think this plan will throw my tolerence off or anything, and I mean anything, this will be my 1st salvia time so any tips are awesome!

No. Salvia will not cure your insatiable appetite for your current plant addiction. hehe

Salvia is a LOT different than weed, and at most...you feel the effects for 5 minutes, after-effects for 20 or so. Though, you feel this deep-rooted connection with every thing on the planet for a couple days after that.

But other than that, I don't think you'll be very satisfied buying an ounce of salvia leaves off your friend if you're looking for a weed kind of high.

Man.. salvia isn't recreationally enjoyable like weed is. your in for a major dissapointment if thats what your expecting. You'd have to be out of your mind (or soon will be) if you start smoking grams of it every day.

Also, sorry to tell you, but that was a complete waste of money (unless im misunderstanding). If the leaves are fresh as you say, they are going to weigh about 1/10th of what they do now when they dry. Thats gunna give you around 3 grams of dried leaf. For it to even have an effect smoked, your going to have to increase its concentration at least 5 times. this means spending money on acetone or alcohol. 1/5 of 3 grams is 0.6g of 5x.. which is about 3 dollars worth last time i checked.

Your better off doing a quid with fresh leaves... anyway.. good luck.

I'd try my hardest to look for weed before trying Salvia, but that's just me.

I'd say for a nice, enjoyable "buzz" try the 10x extract. If you want to really hallucinate, and have the chance at experiencing an either a) life changing thought or realization or b) the void, try 20x.

Read on erowid what THE VOID is on the Salvia page. Basically, it's the only other really reoccuring thing that many people see, and it's basically this black hole the size of a wall or a room that you start feeling you're getting sucked into, and that you can either go into this hole and die or that you'll be taken somewhere else. Usually, most people freak out and think it's going to suck them in and end their existence/take their soul.

Salvia can be very freaky stuff if you're not in the right mindstate.

The first time I did it, I effing did 40x without even realizing it. I thought it was only like 10 or 20x, but I think that saved my life. I kept seeing stuff that would freak me out, and felt like my entire right side had literally hundreds of thousands of pounds on it, like I was being crushed....but, then I kept saying to myself that it wasn't this powerful, that it couldn't be doing this. Things got really comfortable really quick. I ended up enjoying my "trip" so much, but the only problem was that I was sweating so profusely I went through two shirts (I was wearing an undershirt and my actual shirt), my underwear, my jeans, it looked like I had just went swimming.

I won't describe what I saw ,it'd make an already too long post even longer, but...anyway, yeah, I'd say try the 10x or 20x. Buy a little of both. =)

thanks dude that was some nice info. ya i just called my guy and he's gona get me 5 grams of 10x extract for $40 tomorrow, what do you think...alright? also, ya i definitely want a buzz but if I do want to hallucinate a little can't a I just smoke more instead of upping the extract?

nope. you need to smoke the full dosage in under about a minute, otherwise the fist bit you smoked starts to wear off while your spending time smoking more (salvia is metabolized in minutes, not hours like most other things). Thats why extracts are nesecary. They allow you to take a large amount in a very short period of time
