The Honey Mushroom â?? also known by its Latin species name Armillaria ostoyae â?? was found lurking in the Engadine national park in the eastern Swiss Alps, said the Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research. Spanning 35 hectares (86 acres), the fungus it believed to be 1,000 years old, the institute added.
:eek: holly smokes that is one big shroom...too bad its not psychoactive...but with a little genetic engineering... :D

I liked the part of the article that said the people were selling fungus fudge and fungus burgers. Like Euphoric said too bad there not pyschoactive. Imagine eating a fungus burger and starting to trip.

:D now thats some good eating...i'd imagine those kids would be going crazy at the all you can eat trip burger festivals...but that 1,000 - 10,000 year old fungus wouldn't be very pleased...
