Who here was against the use of Marijuana before they actually tried it?
not me!
Damn poll didnt work =/ oh well lol
Well i was VERY against it up to the age of 15...i got very curious about it when i was 15. First tried it last year and now i understand it and love it
i was against it as a little kid, but eventually the curiousity took over
the same thing as little wing except i was 13 or 14
Before I tried grass in college, which was 25 years ago for me, I bought into all the anti-drug education I'd gotten coming up through school in the 70s.
That was before the days of Nancy Reagan's Just Say No campaign, but I grew up in a university town, and so as early as the late 60s, when I was a little kid and when drugs were so popular in college hippie culture, we were getting drugs-are-dangerous education through our elementary schools.
You don't really have a way to believe anything else other than the drugs-are-bad message when that's what you're routinely taught as a kid.
So so so so true. The main reasoni made this thread was so my friend would read it and maybe change his mind on trying it :) No pressure, just showing facts :rasta:Quote:

That's why drug education in elementary schools doesn't work. They don't give the kids real facts about the dangers, they tell them a fairy tale, which most kids start to question as they grew older.
I was in a DARE-like program, but started using cannabis when I was 13, or 9th grade. I wish I could still find those worksheets...
I never really bought into all of that...I was fascinated with the 60's and the counterculture as young as age 12, so I always was very curious about it.
:smokin:
You were more of a maverick kid than I was, then. I always believed what I was told in those days.
I'm still fairly gullible. But I'm smart enough now to investigate stuff before I totally buy into something.
