quick question on seeds and stems

ok i know that every part the marry j plant has some thc in it so i was wondering what is the easiest way to extract this thc and make it useable. i am at the moment making green dragon (doing it the slow way though) and i have added some seeds and stems to the alchol also i was wondering if this would extract the thc from the seeds and stems. (there is also some bud in there). and one last question and green dragon i am making a relativly small amount right now (two shots worth of alchol and like 3-5 grams of bud) i was wondering if there is any reason that i shouldnt open the bottle before use so i can add more bud and or alchol. thanks in advance for the help and sorry if this is rambling or makes no sense
