AHHHHH ALGAE
Light causes algea. Sounds like you have a light leak somewhere in your system.
A very diluted h202 solution would take care of the algea on the rocks.

AHHHHH ALGAE
Hi Rictor,
Like snoop said.. you have light mixing with water.... light + water = alga growth..
You need to build a barrier that protects your water from getting exposed to light. They have a reflective insulation.. that looks like bubble wrap that they sell at Home depot.. it is cheap and you can cut it into any shape you want... this stuff is great for covering hydro baskets, aero baskets etcetera..
As for the alga on your roots, this can turn into a serius problem... the alga consumes 02 from your water supply.. The roots of your plants can not compete with the alga... eventually the alga will take all the 02 and your plants will die..
1. stop all light from getting into your water supply
2. treat your water with H202
3. add air stones/air pumps when possible
and NOW you KNOWM
ps - i could not look at your picture?
