lighting question
I have an eye hortilux 400 watt super hps light ,and it has some blue/ green mainly green/yellow/red spectrum in it .I was wondering with having this bulb if it would be benificial to grab a 400 mh for vegging was looking at a eye hortilux blue mh bulb, but i dont want to buy it if it wont help that much since i have a broad spectrum hps .My vegging atm with the hps seems slow would the mh speed this process up any?Any lighting charts about bulbs anyone could toss my way would be appreciated also thanx in advance .

Flowering will pick up speed once the plants stop stretching. The hps will work much better than a mh for flower.

Dude just leave it as it is, if the bulb is the dual spectrum u should be fine imo...

No man I know what you mean. I have a 600Watt hort eye and I could use a bit more bush too.
If you are running a 18-24 hour cycle then go buy a MH conversion bulb for your exsisting fixture. Run it for a few days/weeks then switch when you go to 12. But myself I do not have one because I don't have a veg stage. I go directly from clone to flower. Well at least within a week or a even just a few days after rooting.
So for me I just keep them under my 4' full spectrum fl fixture untiill they have enough leaf.

lighting question
I have a switchable ballast so getting a halide to go with the hps hort eye for flower <and veg at the moment> already have would be no big deal .I just dont want to waste the cash if im not gonna see much gain in the veg cycle with a metal halide as opposed to trying to veg with the hps .This is my first grow ive done about 100 hours of reading and im basically learning the ropes already made alot of mistakes, i know ive had some transplant shock and a lack of nitrogen and of corse like all noobs im sure ive over watered i guess this could could explain the short height and very small plants <this is shwag seed > so im kinda going at it blind on strain .thanx again in advance for tips folks.
