Growing q's

i got three seeds planted in large paper cups ive never done this before or even know how too so im hopin i can get sum answers to a few questions
how long does it take for a plant to mature enough to get bud off of it ? and if i left it outside in a sunny spot in my woods would they be ok?
btw they popped through the soil and are small plant stalks ide post a picture but i dont have a camera:( thnx
