do you mean if you got them right off a fresh plant that has some seeds in it?
Ripe seeds will already be 'dry' when they are ready to fall out of the bud.
You don't need to dry them out any more.
I let fresh beans sit in a dry dark place for a week or 2.
If you try to grow seeds straight from the plant.
The germ rate will be very disapointing.
Dry your fresh seeds everyone.

I was told this by a breeder.

And I know this from experiece.
That's true, they need to rest for a while.
I give mine a month to just sit around and hang out. But I keep them in glass vials- they aren't drying any more, just resting.
I'm not trying to argue with JDog, just adding. He's right.
thanks guys thants been good info I tried poping one of the beans they have been sitting for a week or two and it poped today. So in all I dried for about a week and let it sit for two and its all good now!
