I never see anyone talking about books...maybe my eyes arent open wide enough (too high?...)
I just got through reading the Lovely Bones by Alice Seebold and The Pleasure of My Company by Steve Martin. I preferred Pleasure of My Company. It had a sense of humor lacking from pretty much anything he's done in the last 10 years.
I dunno...does anyone else enjoy a good book? Any recomondations?
Yeah, Lovely Bones was pretty good, I read it for my senior year, had to do a few papers on it. I enjoyed it. I would recommend The Prince of Tides by Pat Conroy, it's beautifully written and funny as hell. Probably one of my favorite books of all time. Let's see.. The Doors of Perception was really good too, don't remember who it was by, but it was pretty interesting.. it was just an anthology about drug use over the years, it was entertaining. Hope that helps!
I dunno, I'm reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance. Good read so far, pretty simple philosophical discussions but if you haven't been exposed to it it's a good start. Toke up and crack the pages, it's fun

The last book I got done reading was Marihuana Reconsidered by Lester Grinspoon. It was for my research paper in Advanced Comp. It was a really good read, but nonfiction so I don't know if you guys'll get into that.
I'm trying to remember the last time I read a fiction book...actually, I think it was Dumas' Count of Monte Cristo, about 4 months ago. I don't read much fiction anymore, I can't get into them. I do read nonfiction, though. Mostly just about things of my interest.
I love to read when I'm high, actually. Very good imagery and all, ya know?

I read Lovely Bones a year or so ago. It was a good story, not a classic though. I need to find a good book to read this summer and I don't want to waste my time with a crap read.
Someone in my class this past semester was telling us about a book he was reading about how the quest to alter our consciousness through the use of drugs should be considered a 6th sense and is a fundamental a part of our human nature. I don't remember what he said the title and/or author was, anyone heard of a book like that?
I would recommend the author Wally Lamb for fiction.
