not very good first high...

Hey. ok so i tried cannabis for the first time the other day, Resin to be exact. I had 1 joint to myself but all i got was a slight light-headedness for about 20seconds and after that had passed i was pretty much back to normal. would of been so cool to of got propery high though coz the setting was so photogenic...sittin down on a fallen down tree in the forrest on a sunny afternoon. does any1 know why i didnt get high....not smoked enough maybe? sorry if i sound dumb thinkin 1 joint would get me high...but it was my first time lol.

you do realize that since it was your first time the chances of you feeling it were slim to none. keep going. it took me 7 or 8 times before i felt the real thing. ;)

THC is a foreign substance to you so your blood is building a barrier. Eventually the barrier will be broken and the high will hit you. Some people get their first time (I did) for some it takes 3 or 4 times. Keep toking, every time you don't get high you're one step closer to getting faded, and your first time getting real stoned should be amazing.

Fuck that resin shit go get some green and hit the bong, much better.

nice1 . oh and btw when i say resin i actualy mean Hash. here where i live in the UK hash is sumtimes referred to as resin .

I'd say get away from Resin at least for now, buy some green , roll a nice joint or if your "new at it" Get your dealer too. Ask for anywhere between o. and 0.75 or a gram rolled up and the difference in a bag. I'm sure if you have a fairly cool dealer they won't mind. Then just go smoke it , you should get plenty high. I got ripped the second time i smoked pot.

The green, on the other hand, is first class. Most of the bud that you buy in the UK now is homegrown and not imported. If you get imported stuff, then its a rarity. Also, dont believe the dealers when they tell you the strains - especially if they say its 'Purple Haze' and try to get an extra tenner out of ya. Purple Haze doesnt exist anymore, plus its not that good of a high from what Ive read when it was around. Just ask for some 'skunk', and then youll be getting the good shit! When I was a first timer, I was getting ripped off until a good friend told me to ask for 'an eighth of skunk'. He asked me for £20, and I thought it was a bloody ripoff. I smoked a little, and I was soon put in my place :)

Edit: if you ever get offered soapbar, refuse. Its crap, and its the English Hash. Just google soapbar and youll find out what youve been smoking. Also, look at the pictures section on this site, and youll know what to look out for when you buy bud.

Idk about all that "foreign substance" talk. Is it really true? I personally did not have the slightest trouble getting high my first time, or any time after that. The most probable reason you couldn't get high, Desert Rock, is that you didn't inhale properly (at least that seems to me the most likely cause for not getting high).

The way I do it is inhale as much smoke as I can, then gasp/inhale regularly to make sure it gets in my lungs. Then hold it in for a long time and you should be good to go.

Took me 2 tries before I got high. Keep tokin man that first high is a life changer.
