Home stretch... now of course.. problems...
Hey guys. I got a bit under a month untill harvest. no brown hairs yet.
Fans leafs were getting yellow so I ferted again. Same strength and everything that I usually do. Well This time I look at them and the yellow fan leafs have ALOT of brown spots on them. AND on some of the budding leafs the tips are yellowing. The pics should tell a better story. But I dont know what to do.
foxfarms ocean soil
ph water
400w hps
2 gallon buckets.
roots not popping out of side drainage holes.
HELPPPPP GK u there?

FLUSH!!!
It looks like you have a combination of sunburn (pic 2) and nute burn.
Luckily you're on the home stretch and have some good bud development.
Someone may correct me, but if my plants looked like that I'd check that the light is not too close to the growing tip, Flush, and continue ferts with a weak bloom formula.
The yellow lower fan leaves aren't a big deal at that time in flowering. They shouldn't be QUITE so yellow quite yet but that doesn't mean that you need to give the plnats a ton of N at this stage.

Before I read ur message I gave em some N in the form of foxfarms grow big. veg nutes. I remembered directions said to give em a dose mid way through flowering. Hope this is right.
NEXT DAY. after some grow big. I had no change.
FLushing. tommorow. thx :}
If im right. I take em to bathtub. And ph my water. Then pour water in em. Let drain. Repeat 2 more times.
Is this correct?
p.s. there not too close to light. been at that distance for a few weeks. Also i recheck hairs. about 5 percent are brown. Pic 2 is actually towards bottom of my plant.

Careful.. about how much you are watering and feeding... this is another reason to add perlite to soil mixtures.. so that if something does go wrong you can flush without the worry of over watering
Do you have fans blowing the heat away from your plants?
How does your hand feel when you leave it at the same distant from the light as the tops of your plants?
FLushing is basically running as much watre though your medium as possible to dilute the nutrient/salt build up...
Make sure your FLUSH water is PHed properly! 6.8
good luck BOB.. i am rooting for you...

Hi There GK!! So glad for a response from you.
first to answer your questions.
1) Im not watering too much becasue something I let plants get slightly limp before watering. Also my foxfarms ocean soil has perlite in it. I fertilize every other watering.
2) I have a fan blowing cooled filtered ionized air on the tops of the plants.
3) My hand feels slightly warm when holding it over my plants. not hot at all.
Im so confused why my plant is doing this. I always ph the water. I dont think I over fert. cause ive been on same fert schedule fora month already.
Now all of a sudden... this.. GRR. Most of my large fan leafs are off the plant. Any other clues? Ill post pics tommorow.

nice description...it helps a lot and so few do it!
those plants look pretty large for a 2 gal pot. can you see any roots getting pushed out of drainage holes or on the surface? (just read your last line of descr...but still, some pots are treated so roots won't touch them).
have any 5 gal's around?
and if they were mine and within a month or so of harvest, i wouldn't be adding anything but pure water for the remainder of their lives...sounds like they've been getting plenty already.

Thx so much for the reply MG.
No, I cant see roots trying to pop out at bottom or on top. Although I do believe also that my pots are too small for my plants. But would that cause this problem? I thought they would just be smaller. hmmm.... not sure
I could always buy larger pots. But People have told me.. repotting now with 3 weeks or so to go would be bad. So I didnt buy them. Also the soil I would pot with would be the same. Foxfarms ocean soil. rich in veg nutes etc. So I assume this would also be bad at this point. Once again hmmm... not sure
Do u also think I should not nute anymore GK ?
Anyhow... here are some nice bud shots during my flushing session. hope u like them. and mabye they might shed another clue to my problem.

well, everything sounds good and you're using top quality soil and all that so i can't come up with anything other than light burn, over-ferted or rootbound. but your tops look very healthy and from what i can see in the pics the only damage is on the lower branches and leaf tips...eh? this close to harvest i'd just keep doing what you're doing. those leaves i see crisping up in various places are normal and you'll be seeing a lot more as it ripens. some strains i've had are pretty much cleaned by themselves by the time harvest happens while others are a mess crammed with trimming material. maybe next time transplant to a bigger pot once sex is known but other than that and watching your light distance i can't add a thing...it looks like you're almost there!
i stop all ferts/additves a month before planned harvest because the nute's build up in the soil with regular use (i feed em appx every 10 days) and i want to be sure it's cleared out before drying. i usually give em an extra dose of N using the veg ferts for the last feeding along with the flowering ferts during flowering to give the growth a boost but beyond that it's water only and even the water gets cut back as they mature for the last 4 +/- weeks. but that's my way of doing things and as you probably know by now there are many ways of getting there and you just need to find and use what works best for your situation...iow, nothing said here is written in stone as THE way of making flowers.
