I hit the jackpot this time. Summer is when all the universities do their major renovations... leads to endless scrounging opportunities.
They just ripped out at least 4 of these guys: 250w HPS, 120v commercial lights. The boyfriend is an electrician! :D
Nice to have a couple spares laying around. I prefer multiple smaller lights anyway.
Nice find! I heard construction sites are great places to look as well. When I was a carpentar a few years back they'd always be throwing out the big ass 500watt Mh and HPS housings and ballast like the ones in a gymnasium. Too bad I wasn't even thinking of growing then.
