In the beginning I was doing it all wrong, Miracle grow plant food 20-20-20 when watering, miracle grow soil, not enough light, clipping dead leaves, you name it, and I was F-n' it up. Well after much research (This wonderul site, and the book "Indoor Marijuana Horticulture, George Cervantes) I set up a closet with 7 flourecent lights from all sides in a white closet. 18/6 on/off light schedule.
I started watering with my aquarium water at a PH of 6.8 and things have changed for the better. Next week I have shipping to me:
-400W HP Soduim light and ballast
-400W HID Metal Hilide conversion bulb
-Mylar
-2 gallon pots
-Black gold soil/with Perilite
I am hoping these changes will only continue to help. My question now is, in the beginning when I was screwing up the bottom set of leaves fell off. So now they look how they do. Could I bury them deeper up the stem when I re-pot to the 2-gallon pots????

BLACK GOLD.... you will succeed... that soil is so good you could just stop growing now and smoke the soil!

What about when I re-pot.... buring the stems some to take the leggy-ness out of the bottom. Would the stem rot?

I believe that redman71 was asking about re-potting his plant and whether or not it's safe to put the plant deeper into the new pot so you can cover up the bottom part of the stem with new soil. He wants to know if you cover previously exposed stem with new moist soil will the stem rot.
I think...
And I heard that it did not hurt. I definitely did it to my plants when I repotted them. They may have their problems, but I don't think that was one of them
