Would radical PH...

Lets just say I dont have a PH meter so I never know what it is, and in the plants dark time(night) there is a little light leakage, would that make my plants come out to be males? I use nutes(weak solution) for 3 of my plants, tap water (that has been sitting for a week) for my sprouts. My medium is soil. I have 150w hps for the three plants, 2-100w sun cfl's for the sprouts. 1 plant is about 3 wks ahead of the other 2 plants, so I cut the top of the plant where the new growth is to stunt its growth. I am growing in a bathroom closet that has 2 bifolding doors. I am just getting 1 more grow under my belt before I spend more money on a new grow room. Any help will be good.

Fix that light leak.
It can turn it hermie or slow the growth.
Remember they will at least double in size when flowered.
PH is one of the most important things.
Get a ph meter and some ph up and down(mostly gonna nee down)
No need to let the water sit for a week.
One night is fine.
It only takes 24 hours to evaporate everything bad.
Take my word for it.
No pH meter.
No buds.
Ussually.
Not always.

If you don't want to spring for a meter you can get indicator instead, it's like $10 for a years supply!

It is more time consuming and not as precise, but it's an option if you're CHEAP! :D

And get a cigar that's packed in a glass tube. The tube is great for reading pH!

are u on city or well water???

So I woke up this morning and went outside and there was my 2 400w hps fixtures.(later I will use these)

I am in a small city and I think our water is from the missouri river.

I was planning on fixing the light leak this weekend when I get paid(finally). I was thinking of putting sum strip on 1 of the bifold doors to overlap the other 1 when it is closed to prevent that leak.
Now in regards to PH'ing: Would it be easier to test the nuted water (plain water) or soil? I have never Ph'd. Sum help please.
