Am i an asshole?

ok
so it's a tuesday afternoon... my little brother walks in ( turns 13 tommorow by the way ) and says, "Rob... i've got something to show you".
So i say, " yeah, what???"

He shows me 2 bottles of jagermeister, and says "do you want to buy this"?

ok... first of all, he's going into 7th grade and he's holding 2 bottles of jager. Somethings wrong with that picture

So i say, " hey buddy, how about i get some of that for free"

He agrees

so 30 minutes ago, he walks into my room and says "hey Rob, i'll trade you that jager ( it can be yours ) if you get me some Weed".

Now he's asking for weed

So i really dont' want to give weed to a 7th grader... i think he should be in 8th grade before he tries it.

I say, "alright... let me go get some".

So i go out to the kitchen and i pour a tad bit of sage, a shitload of oregano, and some other herb into a bag.

i come back into the room and i say "here's your weed"...


Now he's like, "will you roll me a joint?"




So basically, am i a asshole because i just gave my little brother fake weed. I only did it because i don't want him smoking, and he insists on trying it...


should i tell him that i sold him fake weed?

what should i do man... he's gonna be in 7th grade soon and i know if this keeps up, he's gonna try it.

Fuck... i can see him turning into a tweaker. He has a bad personality for this shit...

my parents killed me when i was in 8th grade and got caught
they'd kill my little brother if he got caught with it
he's not even in middleschool yet

so he knows you smoke it?
any way, i definately would tell him he is way to young.I dunno, education has to come first and if he starts that in 7/8th grade, he isnt gonna be in to his studies, he is gonna be into getting high every day,,,,,,,,,,

You're doing the right thing but going about doing it the wrong way.

Don't give him a spice meddley. Try and talk to him about holding off until he's a bit older. Tell him you know from your own experience that it would be more beneficial for him to wait another year or so.

Another thing...I'm an only child so it may not work this way, but I'm assuming if he gets caught it will be both your asses.

I dont think you were wrong at all, just as long as the shit didnt hurt him lol.

You are doing the right thing

but fake weed is def not gonna steer him away from the real stuff

you should tell him it was fake, but let him know why you did it

if he knows you smoke, this may be a bit of a problem, but I'm sure you can explain him that monkey see monkey do isn't gonna work right now at this point in his life....

i went into his room and i was like " see you shouldn't smoke yet, because your gonna get ripped off ". I then told him that i ripped him off, and that it could've happened to him.

I then told him that he needs to wait untill he's atleast 14... which means, 8th grade.

I said, "hey if you want to do it so bad, go tallk to people you know and go get some yourself... i'm not gonna help you get any because i don't think it's a good idea for you to start this early".
