i have tried a new Cloning hormone....

i always have used in the past clonex ( tried and tested ) and had between an 90 to 95% success rate . on the last visit to the hydro shop the guy suggested i tried a new Cloning hormone called " Gel 4 Plugs " . now before i came on here shouting my mouth off about this new cloning agent i'd thought i'd better try it to see how good it was ...... and the verdict is .......( drum roll ) ...... i love this Stuff!!!!:) :) :) . i have taken over 70 clones and havn't lost 1 yet .
this is what i do .
u need: 1 razor blade
1 up of cold water
1" rockwool cloning cubes
1 bottle of Gel 4 Plugs.
1 propagater
1. presoak ur rockwool cubes in ph adjusted water ( i keep mine about 6.3 )
2. pick out the branch u wanna take the clone from ( use the lower branches as i find these root better ) cut ur clone squarely off just above a node . i like my clones to be at least 4" long to about 6" max. as soon as u cut the clone drop it into a cup of cold water .
2. take ur clone outta the water and trim off all leaves leaving only the top new growth ( as u want ur plant to root it doesn't need leaves to do that )and then at the end u make another 45 degree cut stem. as soon as u do this drop the cutting back into th cup of water ( this stops air bubbles forming in the stem , which is not really a good thing ).and let it stay in the water till ur ready to transplant>
3. take ur rockwool and gentle squeese and excess water but make sure u leave a little water in the cube . make the hole in the cube for the clone then fill the hole with Gel 4 Plugs ( unlike clonex , u don't apply this directly to the clone but to the rockwool ) till it comes out the top. take ur clone and push it about 1 " into the hole then place in propagator and put on the lid. repeat this untill u have taken the number of clones u need . THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART SO PLZ READ CAREFULLY!!!! . when u place the clone into the propagator put the lid on immediatley , only take it off to place another clone in then get that lid back on . make sure the holes in ur prop are closed !
4. place ur Prop under floros and put them on an 18/6 or 16/6 light cycle ( i use 18/6 myself ) and leave them alone , do not touch the lid of the prop unless u have too. check every couple of days to make sure the rockwool hasn't dried out . in 7 to 14 days u should see the roots coming outta the rockwool . when u do see this open the holes in ur prop and let them stay like that for 24 hours . after this lift the lid of ur prop and set it back on slightly of the square to allow the 4 corners to let in air and let them stay like this for another 24hours or so . if u don't do this ur clones will turn yellow and die .

5. transpalnt ur rooted clones to ur medium and away u go :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
