Resin scraping:::What do you use???

i find bobby pins a good resin extraction tool,take the little rubbe3r thingy off the end and open it up... another useful tool is the metal clip part of a ball point pen,break it off the pen and start scraping the bowl...

What do you use???

a break off razor blade thingy. some times scissors, mostley knifes. or I wont use any tools and just burn the resin thats in my slide with the lighter by lighting the outside of the glass stem of the slide.

If that doesn't work - bag it and boil it :).

I lit the outside of my bubbler with a torch lighter for a extended time - smoke started building up like a mother.. hit that shit and I was like a kite:dance:
Kept doin it and finally heard a CRACKKK and was like oh shit... better stop.

I use safety pins. I twist them around so they're like a long needle thing. I heat the outside of the pipe to soften up the resin. It's a hell of a job but when you're dry it comes in handy.

Ya know what works really good is the little tiny screwdriver that comes in eyeglass repair kits...been using it for years!

I found a steel rod at work that is the exact OD of my stem's ID. (If you don't know what I'm saying, I'm saying that its a tight fit.)

Literally two plunges and my stem is clean!

I use a knife.. then I move to a paper clip for the smaller areas. Then I just run it under hot water... sometimes I put some salt in the pipe to get some friction going.. that seems to work really well at getting all the resin out. I've boiled my glass pipe a couple times, but I've heard that this can lead to cracks in the glass, so I stopped doing it. Is that completely wrong, or will boiling damage a pipe?
