This is quite a dumb question but at what stage marks the beginning of vegetative growth? Is it the amount of internodes or height in general? The seedling stage is supposidly completed within four to six weeks.

You can identify the vegitative stage by the thickness of the stem, how many blades one leaf has and how many leaves in general it has. Internodes are just the spaces between nodes which are the branches of the plant that meet with the main stem.Quote:

This plant is considered a seedlings untill the plant has formed 4 real nods with real leafs and started the 5th set.
At that point it's safe to consider the plant has entered the Vegetation cycle.
