Hi s12fever,
Maybe I'm a little slow but what kind of training are you talking about? So your plant is lanky? Doesn't sound like a lot of light being used.

Hi Loco,
you're absolutly right... at the moment I only have an 80w flo tube (4ft) in my growspace. I have another one that needs assembling (said to myself i'll get aroudn to putting it together 2nite!) and a 4-light ceiling/wall light on a single base coming in the mail which i should get tomorrow for sure - and have already bought the 4 20w CFL bulbs for that...
3 of my plants look like they're doing fine, starting to thicken out a bit... 2 others are smallish and have small burns on a small amount of their first leaves (I think it was from feeding them too early...have taken out the food since i noticed it) and the other looks just about dead... leaves drooping and look quite crusty...not too sure what that might be, my brother says it might be from overwatering, so i've skipped it for a few days...
LST is tieing your plants down gentley horitontally to the soil, apparently produces faster growth in the leaves?
grtz.
whenever you want m8.
a technique that i was trying to get the hang of until i got busted was to make a screen attached to the box, not very high at all & just keep bending down the plant so it's lower than the screen. scrog but the screen is really really low.
sounds nice man.
i would say that you can start LSTing as soon as your plant starts getting higher than you want it to... mine is just sprouting its fourth node at about 3/12" and i wont let it get any higher than 6"..
in order to keep it down (and promote leaf growth), im just going to place my pot in a stationary place, and bend the plant to one direction by the top, and tie it down to screen. Then, as the plant grows, you keep it growing horizontally by letting grow sideways in one direction. Just keep tying it to the screen.
peace
awesome thanks.
i've assembled my other 4ft flo tube and the 4-light thingy arrived in the mail today - so by tonight hopefully ill have more lights up in there, so i'll start the LSt then.:pimp:

5 4 3 2 1 GO
first of the pics is the 1 that looks like its dying...from overwatering ive been told; so iv stopped for 3 days...
