Ovegrow (RIP); What it means

Overgrow was a cannabis forum that is now gone.
It was the best forum on the www.

The spirit of Overgrow and the meaning of its name was clear: Grow more than you need and give away your surplus for free.

Not everyone is in a position to grow it. So it's down to those who are.
And if the thought of giving it away seems too generous then maybe the grower could sell it cheaply.

The only way it's ever going to be legal is when there are virtually no more dealers, no more profits attracting organized crime. As long as there is serious money to be made it will continue to be outrageously expensive and illegal.

The only way to defeat this nightmare is to Overgrow and share your surplus. Undercut the dealers. Make them useless. Remove the profit.

actually i think he's right, if everyone did grow, and overgrew, and gave it away, or sold it so cheaply that the dealers were forced to move onto other drugs and leave marijuana behind permanantly, it might not seem so 'bad' to alot of those it seems horrible to right now... but then again, asking humans to not be greedy is like asking the sun not to come up tomorrow, it's just not going to happen.

i was on overgrow. same name too. to be honest, this board is a piece of shit compared to overgrow...overgrow had more people from amsterdam, more serious smokes, more intelligent people...it was really a wealth of information. itwas the shit. RIP OG
