Couple questions for ya...
here goes:
1. will a plant grow faster if it is on a 24/0 cycle instead of 18/6?
2. i may have to turn the lights off a couple times at most in order to hide them as best as possible for up to 12 hours at a time. Could this decrease yeild even if i continue to give them 24 hours of light after their "prolonged (and possibly early) darkness"?
Thanks :stoned:

They're are many arguments for and against 24/0. I personally use 18/6 and every single plant i have grown under 18/6 has grown faster than under 24/0.
The plant gathers energy in the dark cycle for photosynthesis, so this is why 18/6 is normally prefered, although clones do better under 24/0 for the first week or so.
And, no, the extra darkness wont affect the plant too much, but make sure it doesnt happen to often.
The plant measures the time of un-interuppted darkness which realses a flowering hormone, so if you keep having the lights off your plant will flower.

Well plants prefer a dark period, plus it saves money from the electricity bill :).

Too much flux in light period may mean more hermies.

I plan on using 24/7 for my mothers and clones.
And 18/6 for veg for about 2 weeks.
Then flower.
