cleaning bongs

i just got a new bong and its an acrilic plastic bong and i was just wondered what you guys think would be the best way to clean it for the smell and the always fresh look

soak it and scrub with soap or something like that, then wash the soap off? That's wut i do :confused:

Use Formula 420 .... it is awesome.

They have different versions for glass/metal and plastic. I haven't tried the plastic - since I got a glass water pipe, I haven't used anything else. I've let the glass get really bad from time to time, and this stuff cleans it out like new.

It looks like it's a mixture of rock salt and a sweet smelling liquid. You pour it in, shake it up for a minute (longer for really dirty ones) and you're done. You need to rinse well afterward. Make sure you shake it up well before use, or you won't get the salt in there, and you'll waste it. You might need to use a pipe cleaner to work some stuff loose.

I find it at my local head shop for about $8 for a 12 oz bottle. One bottle usually lasts me about 2-3 cleans.

i have a 14 inch roor beaker and whenever i use salt and rub alc it doesnt work. how much salt do you put in like a cup?

Dont waste your money on store bought cleaners, rubbing alcohool and salt work fine. The only difference is the smell, and If you rinse it out enough, it doesnt even matter.

You need ALOT of salt, and less alcohol. You need the mixture to be a little more liquid than sludge.. Does that make sense? Basically you want to be able to shake it around okay in there, but still have it really thick with salt.

Yeah, you need ALOT of salt to scrub all that resin out.. You dont need to fill it all the way with alcohol either, just like 1/4 of the way would be plenty. Otherwise it will get too hard to shake around effectively.
