Hey ive been growing outdoors for a long time now but due to green harvest being alot more strict i had to move everything inside, well i just started germinating another batch, my question is can i veg the plants outside and then flower them under a hps light indoors? also if i have 15 10" pots side by side 3x5 how big of a light do i need? can i get away with a 400w or should i get a 600w or a 1000w?

Go for the 1000 hortilux eye. I use it in a 3 x 4 on 12 plants. You can veg outside but that's alot of work.

Save yourself all the work like LOC says.Do the whole thing indoors. Can you see yourself having to tote all those into a room.If they are sitting there already,Then ya flip tha swith on'em.You will have more time to yourself if you keep them in a controled environment. They are gonna get way way bigger outside than indoors.your room won't be enuff. Not to mention a 400 or even a 1000 would do them justice after being outdoors.

okay well what do you suggest? cause i have a area that is 10'x10' but it also is a storage area how big of a area would i need to veg 15 plants under cfls? would a 3'x3' do it? and could i do it with cfls? right now the plants just started showing thier bottom leaves and i have them under 24/0 cfl but they are in peat pellets and in a 12"x12" pan. Sorry this is all new to me, by now i wouldve transfered them outside.

vegging room should be 1/4-1/3 the size of flower room.
I start under cfl's or tube fluoro's, then veg under either a 400w MH or a 1000w MH, depending on time of year and growsize.
flower room, good info above...1000w eye Hortilux hps
If you have 10x10 room, I would split it up 6'-7'x10' for flower room, and use the other 3'-4'x10' feet like this...I would make a little enclosed propagation box, under workbench type table, I would store and mix nutes on. That way I could keep everything neat and my clones/seedlings away, out of the big lights...due to all the different photoperiods, then design the rest with vegging in mind. I'm getting tired...let me know if this makes sense to you.

haha it makes sense latewood but the only problem is that i need some space for storage so actually i have like a room that is 10'x5'x8' i plan on doing 15 plants and having 15 flowering and 15 vegging so i can keep cycling them so i dont really have a slow season. Even though im growing way less then what i used to outdoors, since i control the light/humidity/temp/etc and cycle my plants i think this will be better for me. But anyways do you think maybe a 5x4' for flowering and a 5x3' for vegging?

yeah...make yourself comfortable. that is the key. remember that vegging plants take up much less space.
I think I would split it more like...6x4, and 4x3 that works out perfectly 2/3 to 1/3
whadaya think? gotta smoke a bowl...

ya that sounds like a plan, i think im going to make the veg box 4x3x3 and store stuff on top of the box, that should give me more room, also do you know where i can find a good 1000w system? Awhile ago i bought the 400w one of ebay with the hood and everything for only 110.00 but, i sold that and now trying to find a deal on a new system, the 1000w goes for 105 on ebay but doesnt come with a bulb or a hood.
