Don't forget the active ingredient in aspirin is salycilic acid, from willow trees (Salycilae). Native peoples in regions where willow trees grow have been using willow tea for EVER.

However, THC is found in the pill Marinol, which many users report works considerably less efficiently and has multiple negative side effects. My point is, a pill having the same components as the plant from which it is derived is not necessarily the same thing.
