internet: covering your tracks

hey guys.

i was reading some post...somewhere...and someone, somewhere, said something, somewhere about covernig all your tracks online. completely hiding the fact that you ever visited cann.com or any other website for that matter. i believe firefox has some kind of button or downloadable program to do this for you instantly or something. can anyone give feedback on that, info would be good.

also i currently use AIM Triton and remember (amazingly) them saying something when i first instaled it about saving conversations? this is not cool. how do i completely disable that function and cover tracks on the internet. thanks guys.

on firefox go to tools then clear private data then check all the squares and click ok

If you have windows, here's what you do:

1. Go to the Control Panel
2. Go to Network and Internet Connections
3. Then click Internet Options
4. Then click Clear History!

You can also slecect "0" (zero) in the "Days to keep pages in history" option, so that your history won't be kept anymore!

I doubt it would work, all the cops have to do is sieze your comp, and everything you have ever done, clicked typed went on, downloaded, deleted, everything is on a part of the comp, and even if you format the comp or delete it all its still there.

I know from personal experience. [I threated some idiot with a gun over msn and they called the piggies, but i got let off with a final warning.

it routes you thru a different IP address, the program costs you about $30 a year, or so ... it is the ONLY way to protect yourself on the Internet ... I get ads for it from Zone Labs occasionally as a special $20 with a firewall included ... :smokin:
