Never tried it, but it sounds like a good idea if you don't mind cleaning it after every bowl.
the idea was to jam anythingat the bottom of the stem where that is normally submerged in water..... I think a metal wire scrub brush or anything that would force the air bubble to break into several bubbles would be a overall cooler inhale do to the fact that more smoke surface area is in direct contact with the icy water

nice Idea... I WANNA BONG!
someone from another pot forum gave me the idea that they sell diffuser stems.......I'd buy the stem and make a new home made bong everytime I wanted to go in orbit.....
Bongs stink so I'd just keep the stem and put it in a few zip lock bags to nearly keep odor free. then stash it somewhere off my property
cops always wanna search my car....I never keep a pipe around.....I use it then hide or ditch it....I'd be in jail right now if I didn't do this

i have a store bought metal shaft, and i always carrya water bottle around. burn a little hole in, stick in the shaft, burn the choke hole. ta-da, perfect bong
Hmm...I think it'd be best to fit a plastic cylinder at the end of a stem and drill holes in it that are tiny and evenly spaced.

i think about rolling it in 2 papers, or a blunt, and then throwing away the excess paper with the spliff at the end. No evidence. simple. easy.
Blunt.
im rollin balls..
Tehe
I also believe in that method......often though I score so little weed that I wouldn't dream of wasting with a lit paper ect.
I get a $5 pipe and just throw it away after I've dusted my sack.
