That's what we call a Writing spider.It's web is massive in width.I like to see them along the path or a route off the betten path,in the garden as well as all around.Just plain allover the freakin place! Why? Cause when ya creepin' in the early morn to see if ya ladies are still at bay,or should I say standing? They will tell you that someone or sunthin' has been there.Esspecially if the dew is on them you will see a broken web.Proceed with caution! You know how many webs there are and where they are.The spider stays there will not move from it's web.Until it catches a what? INSECT!
