its better than nothing....dude dont look for mylar, you wont find it....
go to walmart, in the sporting goods section they sell little $2 'emergency blankets'...same shit.

It probably will work but it's more intense (which could cause burning) and I heard that it's not as effective as mylar.

ok, there are two numbers u need to worry about when selecting your reflector, the reflectivity(notice, this is proly not a word lol) and the amount it takes in... lol
mylar(space blankets) are about 92-8=100
92% is reflected,8% is taken in, and disassembled into other formes of energy(heat,sound(dought it),yata yata)
