Cfl Question 4 Garden Knowm

I have 2 plants under a 150watt hps and I am about 2 start flowering, so I bought 2 100 watt cfl's also to get the lower branches. So my question to you is do you think that 1 100w cfl per plant would be sufficient enough? I will rotate plants every 2-3 days so I can get all sides. Or do I need more? Here is a simple pic. Its only my 3rd grow but I am working indoors now. Totally new to me. Please help with any advice on stradegies or thoughts you had!

Here is my 1st indoor setup in a closet. I am running 1 150w hps, 2 100w cfl's. Theres a pic of my baby @ 1 week old.

I am only looking at your pictures on a pda... so I can't comment on the details...

I will say this... more light is almost always better.. recently amember of this board showed me pictures of a single plant that was grown under a 1000 watt hps with 1400 watts of flourescent side lighting.... for a total of 2400 watts... this single plant harvested 3.5 pounds ....

that being said... a naughty boy named seemorebuds recently posted pictures of a plant that was grown under 8 (150 watt) cfls and it harvested 3 ounces, with a main cola of 15 grams... (2 other plants were grown under the same lights at the same time and the produced an additional 2 ounces each)

if you are going to add cfls. which I think is a great idea... try to utilize the light that comes off it in all directions...

basically, place the lights so that foilage surrunds the lights.. if you can add more...

Thanks. I am about to upgrade the 150w hps w/400w hps and add 2 more 100w cfl's. I'll need to go back to the designing board for this room. I'll have 150w hps w/4 100w cfl's in another room for new crop of 4 plants. So, 550w for veg, 800w for flowering. I'll send pic's of new setup when I get it figured out.

Also, is it okay to use the dull side of foil as a flector of the lights?

looks fine... you should also consider hanging a single envirolight (with some tube glass encloser) down in between the 4 plants...

if you go with your current plan you will definitley end up burning some leaves as they grow into the lights... the benefits of the extra light will far out weigh any minor burns...
