Hi I just started indoor growing..with some seeds my friend gave me..im not sure from what strain or anything like that...anyways i was wondering how many hours a day am i suppose to leave the light on for my little sprout? oh yeah im using a florescent light hanging about 3 inches over the sprout

18/6 or 24 hours for veg. There's argument about which one is better. Whatever you want.

It's said you can leave it on 18/6 because plants like the dark period..also plants originated from outside so obviously dark periods are normal, plus it saves money . Or you could just leave the light on 24 hours because it's said that they grow faster with that photoperiod :p.

You can put the light closer than three inches if you want, it will do the plant good. Good luck.

unsure of your question... did the seed already sprout and you have it planted already or are you germinating and waiting for the seed to sprout

no, it sprouted already and the 2nd set of leaves are out and i just checked right now and the 2 jagged edged leaves look like there starting to close together!!..whats going on? am i over watering or is it the light? :confused:

if your useing a floro your problem is not your light unless you dont have enough or its not on long enough is your soil draining? have you fed them ? if you havent DONT what kind of soil ???

hi everyone :) i just checked and everything is looking good and i found out that my problem was the light, i didnt have enough of it!!..thanks everyone..ill keep u posted on progress :)
