From what i've read, you can't just cut it at the base....you need to leave some significant leaves on there, and give it root hormone, and throw it back onto 24/0 light to make it Vegg again.....and then in theory your plant should come back. But I definitely know you can't just cut it at the base and expect it to grow again on its own.
rose's yes cannabis no not to the best of my knowledge it can be regenerated but not lobed off and left to re grow
sounds like a "would you jump off a bridge" dilemma eh' Don't listen to your friend, do your own research. If you cut down a tree in your yard, would it grow back?

well... maybe... you really need to leave some foilage... BUTTTTT
it actually may regenerate.. if you were to lob it at the base and then immediatley give it 20 hours of light.... it is possible....
it may live...
But it wont just sit around and then come back "next season" .....
it will need immediate attention...
