why do we sound so stupid?

I've been thinking, throughout history, the majority of people have gone out of their way to emulate the dress/speech patterns of the upper classes. Why then is it so cool now for everyone to talk like they're retarded? Sup hom, man I been smoking some dank azz shiznat dawg. YOU SOUND RETARDED! I know that acting like you're tough helps you get over your insecurities but you really dont know how stupid you sound. And to be fair, I have been guilty of the same thing, but I don't consiously try to do it. Anyway, just needed to lay that out there.

Because in the past the wealthy and sophisticated were the celebrities. Everyone tried to emulate them any way they could. Today you have people who were dirt poor with little education who struck it big and became celebrities. Because they are celebrities people try to emulate them in hopes that they will be rich like them(subconsciously). I just try to talk normal. I dont use too many big words to confuse people, but i dont talk like an idiot either.
