legalized dueling

In school my class was once assigned to come up with ANY law they wanted. most of my class said, "legalized marijuana". I said, Legalize dueling. In a controlled environment, people would have to sign a contract saying the other person or people were not to be held responsible for their death. You'd have to be like 21, and sober. You'd have to see a mediator first to be sure you guys really wanted to kill eachother. You could do it with whatever weapons you like. They could set up halo like environments for it.

What u think about that? what law would you make up (BESIDES LEGALIZED POT)

actually dueling is alot different then what you think. Its never a fight to the death, in fact, if the other person died...the killer was held accountable. when alexander hamilton was killed by burr...he was tried for murder.

Look up the rules for dueling. Its supposed to stop when blood is drawn. Guns make dueling much more riskeier.

there are alot of rules like...when using guns, must aim for legs/arms

he who has been challenged in the duel MUST choose the wepon used
when somebody has been inflicted...the inflictor must back off and allow a chance for forfiture

the duel can be called off at any time if the person agrees to apologize...

look it up its reaaalll cool stuff.

however, i totaly agree with you that it should be legal. (no need for a contract...you need a witness, that covers that)

i meant to the death, thats why it would need to be legalized. I did know that about sword fighting but not cuz I looked it up I've just seen lots of movies.

I'd abolish indecent exposure, public drunkeness, and all noise ordinances.

legal abortion and punishment for soliciting religion. id like to lock u all those jesus freaks that try to convert me, constantly trying to imbide thier religious beliefs on me. damnit, get off my doorstep and find something more constructive to do

But, then again, I'm a pretty good shot.

- Abolish public nudity laws.

- Legalize marijuana for sale, posession, and consumption. also legalize hemp.

- Major revamp of the FCC

- Make the government or personal posession of nuclear weapons illegal.

- Decriminalize consumption and posession of small amounts of any drugs. If the person is harming society as a result of that drug, forced rehab.

- Make the environment a top priority.

- Criminalize the sale of alchohol and tobacco (note that I'm only talking about sale, not posession or consumption).

- Ban posession of handguns, automatic weapons, armour-piercing rounds.

- More socialist government (particularily for the U.S., but everywhere really).

- Chemical castration for repeated sex offenders, first-time child molesters.

dude, im so glad im not the only one that thinks socialism is a good idea.

hmmm i like the legalized duelin idea, but i train with swords anyways and duel my cuzin with practice wooden swords :D

i'm not sure of any laws i'd make... gimme a while to think of a few lol
