The Hummer H1 -- the biggest, toughest sport utility vehicle on the road -- has run out of gas.

Cheering just about every other driver on the road, General Motors Corp. said Friday that it is ditching the H1 by June.

The vehicle, which delivered a shot of in-your-face masculinity, has a price tag of $140,000, weighs 5 tons and gets less than 10 miles to the gallon.

But sales have slowed to a trickle. GM has sold fewer than 100 this year.

Many see the H1 as a symbol of personal excess and American overconsumption.

ive thought about getting one and converting it to biodiesel. Then one someone tells me about how im polluting and shit i can look at theyre tiny car and be like your car pollutes more than mine BIATCH!@

lol... I'm buying a bus to do the same thing... but you don't have to convert them... can paint on the sides to and not feel like I'm wasting $60,000 on a stupid war vehicle.

Man, Hummers are my favorite truck even if they do pollute, it has alot of history and is just a badass vehicle over all, stock. Yeah they wasted gas but we can't blame all that on a truck, we all waste gas. Simple stuff we dont oeven think about, like drive to our friends house 4 blocks away. Sad to see it pulled off the makeline tho. Guess I'll pack another
