Mom charged over son's pot 'rewards'

MCSHERRYSTOWN, Pa., May 8 (UPI) -- A Pennsylvania mother has been charged after admitting she rewarded her 13-year-old son for doing his homework by smoking marijuana with him.

During police questioning, Amanda Lynn Livelsberger, 30, said she had been sharing her marijuana with her son after school since he was 11, and said she had also smoked dope with two of his school friends.

The boy told police his mother told him if he smoked marijuana he would forget about his father who was in prison for selling and smoking crack. She also told him that smoking marijuana would not hurt him like cigarettes would, the York (Pa.) Daily Record reported.

Livelsberger is charged with three counts each of corruption of minors, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and one count each of endangering the welfare of children and possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia.

The status of her son's custody was not disclosed. Her next court hearing is scheduled for June 19.

jesus that shit annoys me. all those charges. everytime you get busted for "a crime", they word it in so many ways and hit you with multiple charges.

Well, whats a healthier reward - giving your kid a can of coke or a chocolate bar after homework, or a fat spliff? I think that its a little too young to get a kid onto Herb though, 15/16 would be better, although Im gonna teach my kids about drugs as soon as they hit 13. Their first ounce will be a 16th birthday present.

I do think 11 is a bit to young.. lol though..:p

she kinda deserves the charges, she got her son's 12-13 year old friends baked when they came over.....doesnt sound like such a good parent to me.
