The title pretty much says it all.
I just ground up my shrooms (Alice and Wonderland Caps -- Big red Caps with White dots/spots). I was told Ascorbic Acids extracts the Psychodelic chems from it. I was wondering how much A.A. should I use per gram of mushrooms. Mind you, the shit is sour -- Ascorbic Acid is basically Vitamin C.
So who can help me out!!

I quess you're talking about amanita mushrooms. I've heard muscimol is water soluable, I wouldn't think AA would be nescessary. Not that it's gonna hurt anything. I get my stuff from the same place, always been pleased with the price, quality, and service. Amanitas are quite different from regular magic mushrooms, I didn't like them. Not that they don't work, they do. We called them super mario mushrooms, from the video game. Whoever made that game must do shrooms.

I found this with a quick goggle ... Interesting to say the least. Last night was my first run in with this type of mushies. I had never eaten them before. I have eaten plenty of magic mushrooms before on the other hand. Last night, as I popped an eighth in my mouth & cleaned up my room, I was anticipating the trip; it never came. I figured I must have gotten an older batch or something. The only thing I noticed was a bit of lethargy and upset stomach with a splash of relaxation. So I laid down and crashed out. I woke a little bit later and tripped out on the TV a bit, but it wasn't anything spectacular. The mental trip was there though, although very brief in comparison to most other experiences I have had.
I usually grow my own fungi and I can tell, in regard to the visual aspect of eating mushrooms, the ones I grow are by far superior to these "Mario Brother" mushrooms it seems. Then again, I probably just needed to eat more. 1/8th isn't all that much. That being said, however, some of the mushies I grow produce phenomenal trips with as little as 1 decent size mushroom; fresh or dried. I can bet, though, that if I were to eat more of these amanita mushrooms they would produce a decent trip. & this is mainly why I grinded them up and prepared myself to make some sort of beverage with them. I was told AA would help extract the Psilocybin (which is the psychoactive chemical found in most shrooms ... with the exception of these amanita mushrooms I just found out).
So now I have an once of ground amanita mushrooms, & no I have no idea what I'm going to do with them. They don't contain Psilocybin, but rather Muscimol instead. lol, Thinking out loud here ...
2 QUESTIONS:
First, What should I do now??
Second, What kind of trip is expected with these amanita mushrooms? I would love to hear anyone's experience with these mushies ... if your out there (do's and don'ts, pros and cons, trip experience, ect).

Now I'm wondering (as I look at this grounded once) how much I have to eat to get a good hallucination. lol, it doesnt appear that these mushrooms produce such hallucinations, only if consumed in huge amounts. Consuming the mushrooms in doses of over 1 gram can cause nausea but also can cause a number of other effects, depending on dosage, ranging from twitching to drowsiness, cholinergic effects (lower blood pressure, increase sweat and saliva), visual distortions, mood changes, euphoria, relaxation, and hallucinations. The mushroom has been mistaken for other yellow to red species in the Americas (for example, Armillaria cf. mella and the edible Mexican species Amanita basii (similar to A. caesarea of Europe)). Poison control centers in the U.S. and Canada are aware that "amarillo" is a common name of caesarea-like species in Mexico, not just the Spanish for 'yellow'.
Deaths from A. muscaria are extremely rare. Fatal doses have occurred in North America (var. guessowii). The amount and ratio of chemical compounds per mushroom varies widely from region to region, season to season, further confusing the issue. Many older books list it as deadly, giving the impression that it is far more toxic than it really is. The vast majority of mushroom poisoning fatalities (90+ %) are from having eaten either the greenish to yellowish to brownish mottled death cap (Amanita phalloides) or one of the destroying angels (Amanita virosa), several overall white Amanita species.
Amanita muscaria
This mushroom, like its psychoactive relatives the Psilocybe species, has been used as an entheogen in rituals to communicate to the spirit world, largely in Siberia, with some reported incidents elsewhere in the northern hemisphere. Mesoamericans never consumed fly agaric for religion, but instead use Psilocybe. Psilocybe and Amanita are not chemically related with regard to their psychoactive properties and therefore produce markedly different psychoactive effects.
The active ingredient is excreted in the urine of those consuming the mushrooms, and it has sometimes been the practice for a shaman to consume the mushrooms, and the rest of the tribe to drink his urine: the shaman, in effect, partially detoxifying the drug (the sweat- and twitch-causing muscarine is absent in the urine). This was also not an uncommon practice in Siberia, where the poor would consume the urine of the wealthy, who could afford to buy the mushrooms [1]. If a fly agaric is eaten, it is usually not fresh, but in its sun-dried form, where the hallucinogenic chemicals are more concentrated (ibotenic acid converted to the more stable and far less poisonous muscimol).

Doses are alot higher than true shrooms. I tried it only at 7 grams, not a truely phychedelic dose. The only visuals I got was some distortion of depth, hard to explain. Some nausea, heavy sweating, and a general feeling of discomfort. I also found them stimulating (not in a good way), odd because erowid suggests sedation. At high enough doses they produce true hallucinations, rather than simply visuals. I have no plans to do again. The part about drinking piss kills me, I wonder how they discovered that?
I'm going to agree with you on everything right here ... I totally understand the depth perception distortion. That is what I woke up too last night when looked at the TV. Very discomforting mushroom though. I wont purchase these again either. I'm actually considering giving the ground up once I have to my neighbor for $20 bux or so. I have a new flush coming up anyhow.Quote:
