Complete newbie to growing.
Hey, I was thinking about starting a one-plant closet grow, but I have a few questions first...
1. As far as I know, in indoor situations, after harvesting, the plant goes to work making more buds. Does it die when you harvest it? Does it start growing more buds right away?
2. How important is ventilation? How important is nutrients? This is my fist experimental grow, I'm not going for any big buds on this one, I'd be lucky to get any buds.
I was just going to set up a small growing light in my closet, put a pot by it with a seed in it, water it everyday or so, and hope it grows. Is this a good plan? Will it grow at all? Is there any problems I should address?
Thanks for reading, and again, I am an utter newbie when it comes to growing.

lip is right, you must read more before you begin.
when you harvest a plant that's it unles you wanna reveg it and take some clones but that takes a while and is only usfull to save genetics imo. i don't know where you heard it but a plant doesn't start making more buds after harvest.
ventillation is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY if you want to grow indoors. you must be able to keep the temps in the mid to high 70's for good quality bud imo.
nutrients are also ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY when growing indoors. a seed has enough in it to support the seedling for 2 weeks or so then you will need to start feeding it.
lastly be carefull wateruing a plant everyday. mj needs a drying out period. this is when the roots grow the most also if the soil is always moist the roots will more than likely rot and that will cause all sorts of probs.
my advice to you is take a week or so and read as much as you can before you start anything. good luck

Interesting questions for a newbie. Lets see if I can help bring you into the light.Think of the plant as a person/miner and your closet as a mine. How long would the miner live without fresh air or food if trapped by an accident? Without fresh air nothing will live without food/nutrients nothing will live.
In order to live a plant needs a balance of food/water/air just as humans. If you plan on growing your knowledge base must be deep and extensive. Don't expect everything to be handed to you. You must be willing to seek it out and learn from others experiences. That will require reading not just here but other sites/sources as well.
The one plant idea needs to be looked at as well. Unless you like wasting your time you should expand that to at least three. After you do a little research you will know why.
