I just made this sweet ass bowl out of wood and i was gonna use screen from like a window for the screen but i was wondering if it was safe or not. Does anybody on here know if it is safe to use and if it isnt what i could use. If you guys want and my camera will let me i will post some pics.
window screen might be a bad idea, alot of those are chemically treated.
yea i thought it was when i put a lighter to it the smoke was black at first then it turned white. Do you have any other ideas.
I reccomend....if you just need a screen..
Take the twistie tie from a bread bag and burn all the paper off, it works well.
go to a sink in your house
stick your finger in the hole
the water comes out
there should be a screen there
if not just dont use one at all
If the window screen is old and made of brass then your good to go...
I dont think im really gonna need a screen anyways cuz the holes isnt that big and i just wont smoke real small shake in it.
To get a screen from a hosehold faucet, unscrew the part at the end of the faucet where the water comes out. Then take apart the layers and find the screen. Dont worry about taking it because faucets usually have 2 or 3 screens. There is an endless supply of free screens out there.
Well i got a screen but i was wonderin when i light the bowl the wood on the inside burns a little will that hurt me at all?
lol sorry to tell you this man, but smoking out of a wooden bowl is a bad idea. it tastes gross, and needs to be treated with some special chemicals to not burn. i carved a pipe all out of wood and took me weeks, i finally smoked out of it and it was terrible so i tossed it. sorry man.
