I have a setup enclosed in a growtent, problem is my temp is now at 92f (33c)
I cant seem to find a way of lowering the temp, if i leave the flaps open I get 88f (30-31c) but i dont want to do that anyways.
Anyway in-expensive ways to cool the room down?
As a beginner I can only offer a few suggestions:
*rig a fan to some sort of exhaust duct, more advanced than what I have.
*lower your wattage (are you using more than 400w?) and/or switching to CFLs....
*add a portable air conditioner (kind of expensive)
*grow on 18/6 during the coolest hours of the day, overnight probably.
I'll have to defer to experts. good luck.

I have a carbon filter with fan at the top and have a fan blowing onto the plants into the tent.
Does the temp have to be measured where the plants are? I got my dig. them. next to the plants.
Ive got a 600w HPS in a closet (getting a 250 this weekend) and the temps are barely controllable, what I have to do is have my window all the way open and my door closed, and also the radiator off in my room.
And yep, take the temps where the top of the plants are. You can take the temps at the bottom aswell as the top, just for peace of mind, but I really dont think that the temperature will differ more than a couple of degrees from the top and the bottom. It puts your mind at rest though.
Well, i can not give any more info, but yeah. try and get a fan blowing in and one sucking out.
lol get a tower fan u knwo the ones that stand up straight and place behind yyour plants directed to them then goin out the door slightly ajar this will help move the hot air from the tops of your plants and bring the overall temp down abit.
In an enclosed space you're going to want to find a way to exhaust the heat from the top, as heat rises. An intake of some kind will need to be allocated low to the ground to catch cooler air that settles naturally at the lowest possible point. Even if it's a passive intake [ i.e.: just a hole ], it should work. Just work out a way to pull the air out from the top, nearest to the light, and you should be fine.
And, like it's been suggested -- work a light schedule that revolves around lights off being during the day, and lights on at night.

Even a couple of computer fans might do the trick. Stick one sucking air OUT at the top, and one sucking air IN at the bottome. Theyre easy to wire up (apparantly) and only cost a few pounds/euros/dollars/rubles/magic beans.
