He is the, commander and chief
I like the fact he did drugs... make him like us
human
he actually said
I make the decisions
Rumsfield is part of Bush's cabinet that Bush appointed. He doesn't need the thumbs up from anyone, especially retired generals, as to who he appoints.
At your work place, if you and lets say 6 other workers say your supervisor doesn't meet your standards how far do ya think your going to get?
Bottom line, the boss is the boss like it or not!
he doesn't rule, that's what kings do... he acts on behalf of the people, if the people don't want something he shouldn't act on it... the president does not have the right to do anything... he didn't just say I want Rummy and he'll be there, it had to be approved by the Senate... and since the Senate is corrupted with the same people they gave him the job. If the people do not want him in that position he should not be there, that is what America is, or it suppose to be... It's sad that Bush's propaganda has worked so well that people believe he has 'power'... HE SHOULD HAVE THE LEAST AMOUNT OF 'POWER'...
"OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE" ...any of that ring a bell... WAKE THE FUCK UP PEOPLE AND TAKE OUR CONTRY BACK...
The President does not have the right to do anything??? Did this change?Quote:

yeah, he's very much limited in what he can do...he likes to portray himself as above the law and without any bounds, and at the level of perversion in our constitution today, he basically is...
but so was clinton. you gotta protect the boss.
"by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate". "provided two thirds of the Senators present concur", "by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate," ," but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers"
I guess you must have missed reading this half of what you posted... And the Senators are suppose to act in the intrest of those who voted for them... if you'd like to pull those rules I'll be glad to go through them and point out why that is the case as well... so next time instead of quoting the constitution, try reading it ok ;)....
"How will we defeat Communism unless we know what it is? ... We have got to fight it with something better. Not try to conceal the thinking of our own people. They are a part of America and even if they think ideas that are contrary to ours they have a right to have them, a right to record them and a right to have them in places where they are accessible to others. It is unquestioned or it is not America."
- President Dwight Eisenhower, 1953
"I hear the voices and I read the front page and I know the speculation," the president said testily. "But I'm the decider and I decide what's best. And what's best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain as the secretary of defense."
