point me in the right direction?
I know that the answer is around here somewhere but i can't seem to find it.
I have some babies that are a few weeks old. one is doing well but the others are kind of short. I am using floros and don't know if they are cold or hot. They have been running 14 hours on/10 off.
i have been reading how people "make" the plant flower by changing the lighting times. What do i need to do to make them flower when it is time? And how will i know that it is time?
Sorry if this is the zillionth time this question has been asked. Point to a thread with the answer if it is easier. I have also search the FAQ for a few things flowering and sexing and it has no results.
Thanks

They need 18 hours of light for the veg cycle even 24/7 light will work. 14 hours is not enough light for seedlings. Size difference is seedlings are not much to worry about. Most of the time the males are the first to grow and are the tallest ones. Not 100% of the time but I bet 90% of the time the tallest ones from seeds are males.
It takes about 30 day's from seed for all the antioxidants to mature before you can flower them if you want a descent crop anyway.

ok thanks
so i'll bump it up to 18 for the next few weeks...
what should i change it to when they start to flower? 12/12? will i see the flowers? or will i need to change the lighting to get them to flower?

The best way to know when you flower is when the plant tells you, it will start to form pre-flowers. If this doesnt happen, look out for alternating nodes, and then put it into 12/12 with a red spectrum flou.
