Is real LSD even around anymore?
The first few years I took acid, I was getting some great trips. Then in 1993, the trips I got off acid changed dramatically- less intense, not nearly as euphoric.
Later, I come to find out that the feds made it difficult to get the precursors to make LSD and chemists switched to making LSA and selling it as LSD around 1992 or 1993.
So, my question is this: Is there any *real* acid still being produced? I'm not looking to start dropping again, but I feel like the recreational drug community lost a great self-discovery tool when LSD production stopped.

Making LSA would be no easier, you would still need the same carefully watched ergo-x compounds. It's still around, but not like it used to be, that's for sure.

What makes acid not as good as it used to be? Lower dosage per hit? Different/worse production methods? Use of worse quality precursors?

All of the above, I think. Some ways of making LSD also make iso-LSD, which if not seperated competes for receptor sites in the brain. And doses are down, I need no chemistry to tell that much.
