What a fiasco

So on the the third day isaid let there be light and my hps didnt come on what the hell my plant got all stressed while i was at work and dammit now my hps wont light at all Its an old ballast says 475 watt hps on plate on back any one know of a good wiring scamatic on hps ballasts should trace the prob and buy new parts.or shit can the idea still cant get ove the fact that I spent 135 dollars on a bulb for 2 days now its blown shit on me. Well on a brighter note i put the hid back and the are on the road to recovery/

Hopefully not, bad luck man, sorry to hear it, god damned ballast... Try and get a new one, or sort the prob out as soon as you can, the HPS would make the world of differnce.

FYI: HID is (High Intensity Discharge), and HPS and MH are both HID, so when you said it im guessing your talking about a MH :)

Most likely as long as the bulb is good then it's the igniter more then the cap or transformer. Does the transformer still come on and buzz?

yes actualy I here the low hum and I took the bulb and had it tested its fine what do you think it would be thanks for your input all ringo.

As I said most of the time the igniter more then the cap is your problem.

thank you zandor I have a new igniter ordered and hope to have it back next week.how long will a ballast last generaly anybody have a long enough grow to know 3 years more just wondering.

some of mine are 10 years old.

i can wire ballast post me some pics of ur shit with the names noted on the wires such as COM or anything like htat i wired all my own ballast and i have 4 2 1000w systems a 2 70w HPS systems
