Well im not JustASeed, but i would say yes, you'll definaly get a better yeild, and nicer buds...
Get on the net and order some hps - you won't be sorry! I got my 2 - 400 watt ones at different time, but both came in about 2 or 3 days in the U.S.
An hps would be awesome but if you can't get one you'll have to use what you already have. I just ordered an hps, but I've been flowering with cfl's thus far.
I'm not JUSTASEED either, but here's my 2 cents worth:
Look a few lines up or down in indoor growing at the post entitled "which lights?" (or something like that). I spent some good time trying to answer your exact question for another guy.
Hello Hungry, how have you been ... HPS would be the shit if you can get one fast. Even a small one added to what you have put on a 12/12 would help ALOT....peace
ok then i am gunna get one. IT IS 98 degrees in my box. and im only using cfl. if i do get the hps will my 265cfm dayton blower that is coming in keep it cool???/
thanks
much love...nasty
ok, if you can afford it hps is the way to go or even better these light systems are the shit. alot of the old farts at og got there lights here.

apparently they are updating there website but they have systems with hps and mh in the same aircooled hood! that is the best you can use indoors imo.
if you want a hps for rather cheap you can get a securty light like this and rewire it. i did this before for the left side of my tvstand stealth cab when i had it. in fact this is the exact one i had.

or you could just get a shitload of 42watt cfl's. they are not to be scoffed at for flowering. they don't compare to hps but check out these old pics of my 350watt cfl grow.
good luck whatever you decide!

Nice flouro grow. Better by far than nothing.
Hello Hungry :), if you can get the HPS for flowering, then "get one" ;) .
On my last crop I kept switching back and forth between the HPS and the MH. I thought there was a problem with the HPS, but it turns out there wasn't :o.
Anyway the majority of the flowering was done under the MH, and when comparing it to the HPS. The buds are far more compact and have much more weight about them when flowered under the HPS, under the MH they still produced a good potency but were very "loose", a poor crop quantity wise.
So I think the HPS, is a pretty good investment ;).
love mand xxx :)
