Watering Device...What do you guys think?
I read on a post on here about using a one gallon milk carton container. Then poke 1 or 2 pinholes in the bottom area for a drip irrigation system. Finally take the cap off and it should keep the plants watered just enough.
What do you guys think about this setup?
Do you have any other home made systems that are cheap and easy to make like this you would recommend?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

Ive read that rain makes the best irrigation water. dig near a bottom of a hill, 4ft by 5ft hole, line it with plastic. and cover it to prevent evaporation.

I've read contradicting opinions on here. One thread said that constant watering is bad and a thorough one time watering is better. Than I've also heard the opposite, that constant watering is good and thorough watering is bad.
Which is it?

Thorough watering is the way to go. Otherwise you'll end up watering everyday. Outside you won't have a problem with water because it dries easy outside in the sun. Don't cover your plant or it will rot and die. That only works if you want to plant early and it is still cold out. By making a little greenhouse with the earth it keeps your sprouts warm and wet...then you take the cover off when it gets bigger. I woudn't do this. I don't recomend it.Most likely you'll end up with a rotted rootsystem and a dead plant!
