Suggestions on pruning (pics)

So I finally got a digital camera to take some pics with and this is what I came up with.

This is the only true female I had in this crop (first attempt in a space other than my grow room, and during winter) the rest were hermaphrodites, it's also a different seed than the hermies. I turned off some lights for the pic (no that's not one of my bulbs, it's just for camparison), and it doesn't look all that great because it got cold again for some reason. but otherwise, do you think it's okay if I remove some of the shade leaves at this point, or would that be too detrimental?

Your plant looks good.. removing fan leaves is NOT to be DONE!!



If you want it to look great..

You need to make sure that the LIGHT is close..

You are using CFL's correct..?
This is even more reaon to keep the light as close as you can.. You have tremendous stretching going on.... stretching is NEVER GOOD....NEVER...


Ideally with a cfl grow, your light will always be within 1 inch(no further) of ALL the foilage..

That means that you eiher need very short plants or to continuosly add new bulbs....

You plant looks healthy..

Stretching is the reason they went hermie most probs, that and the temp stress.

Also there is no need to top them or prune them because when you put it into flower you'll get more bud depdning on the amount of leaves there are to make energy....

If the plant dont need leaves they'll die off.

ok, well, that's about what i thought, but what do you mean by stretching?

I had this one trained so that it had an "S" kind of shape, but the tring cam untied while i was out of town and i never really got around to training it back. is that what you are talking aobut?
